Gluten-Free in Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Update 2012: Please visit Locate Special Diet for more gluten-free (vegetarian or organic) listings in Jackson Hole. Keep your eye out for the mobile application launching soon.

I’m currently in Jackson Hole, Wyoming- One of my favorite vacation spots.  Jackson Hole is such a great town. It has a small town feel, but with all the amenities you need for a city. It is full of great restaurants, shops, summer activities and more. Not to mention, it is an awesome gluten-free friendly vacation spot. Most restaurants here are willing to accommodate, a few have gluten-free menus, and they have a local grocer full of gluten-free products- The Jackson Whole Grocer. Some of my favorite local spots to dine include: The Four Seasons, Osteria, Snake River Grill, Cascade Grill House, Blue Lion, Trio, Rendezvous Bistro, Mangy Moose, Wild Sage,  Shooting Star, Lotus Cafe, JH Organics, Elevated Grounds Coffeehouseand Nora’s Fish Creek.

In other news…

I’m working on a 20 minute recipe that will be featured on Ginger Lemon Girl’s blog for a series called: Quick and Easy Gluten-Free Meals. Do you have any requests?

Also, if you didn’t see- I won the Udi’s Gluten Freeville Recipe Contest. I am so excited! Thanks for all your support and votes! If you haven’t tried the balsamic BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, you must! They are a definite crowd pleaser.

Where are you going on your summer vacation?

  1. Thanks for the news about the Udi’s contest – your recipe was by far the best! I hope you are enjoying Jackson Hole – we haven’t been there in a while. The Mangy Moose was one of our favorites (back before the gluten issues) – glad to hear they are so up-to-date.

  2. Hopefully we will be visiting my husband’s family in Jackson Hole as well. I love Jackson!

  3. I love Jackson, and Nora’s is one of my go-to restaurants. Glad you had a great time.

  4. I cannot believe I googled Jackson gluten free and found this page! I will be there in early Sept. and am so excited to have this information. My trip will be much less stressful and healthy thanks to you.

    • I’m so glad you found me! I actually need to add a couple more restaurants to that list. I am in Jackson Hole right now and have been eating at Lotus cafe a lot. Complete (and huge) gluten-free menu! It is addicting. I hope you enjoy your trip!

Thanks for your dining guide. We are coming this summer, but we are travelling with young kids, so fine dining is likely not in our future. Can you suggest a few GF friendly casual places. Lotus cafe looks awesome and I can’t wait to eat there.

        • Stephanie, sure thing. I am in JH all the time and am very familiar with the GF options they have. You should check out . It’s my new company and JH is included in the database. You can filter by category on the website. My favorite casual places are Lotus and Elevated Grounds

  5. Thanks so much for this great info. Driving thru Jackson tomorrow. Think I will try the Lotus : )

  6. HI! I just drove into Jackson from Austin TX where we have a lot of GF options and was so discouraged when I stopped at a deli & asked if they had GF bread. The lady making the sandwiches held up the Whole Wheat loaf & said, “this ain’t got no gluten in it.” ;-) So thank you so much for your posts about all the great places to find GF food in Jackson. I’m here until the 12th & plan to try every one of them! Also, the Pearl Street market (right by my favorite little pet store – Teton Tails – has delicious sandwiches on Udi’s GF deli sandwich bread (larger than the bread we can buy in the groc store) – they pannini it.

  1. [...] a heartbeat. It is gorgeous, the people are great, the nightlife is exciting, and there are tons of gluten-free friendly restaurants and food shops. Last night we dined at Shooting Star, a premiere country club with some of the best food [...]
