FLU:
- Symptoms arise suddenly, and are more intense
- Fever ranging from 102-106 degrees
- Chills
- Muscle aches
- Exhaustion
- Flushed face
- Headaches
- Vomiting or diarrhea may occur
- Symptoms appear within 2-3 days of exposure and may last from 1 day-1 week
COLD:
- Symptoms are centered around the nose (runny, sneezing, stuffy)
- Possible throat irritation
- Adults generally have no fever
- Younger children may experience fever ranging from 100-102
- Headache
- Cough
- Burning eyes
- Muscle aches
- Decreased appetite
- On average, symptoms appear within 1-5 days and last for a week
